I’ve been using PhotoImpact (mostly) for the little things and Photoshop only when I have to. But having done this, I’m hungry for more. It is true what they say: There is noth you can’t do with Photoshop!

Cool! I’ve also had a technique that has a similar result to this. But because my photoshop didn’t have fibers, i used mezzotint instead. I’ve written a tutorial on it on psdtuts. Sorry if this seems like advertisements. I think it’s interesting to see others doing the same thing with a different method

set the black background layer as invisible and merge visible (shift+ctrl+E); than resize the merged layer as shown in the picture

but how to do that ? Plus how come my high pass filter doesn’t show much line compare to yours ? i am using CS2

Ok…i did the first three steps of take canvas, fill with black, make new layer, fill with white…and then i go to the fibers thing and my fibers box preview does not look like the step 3 image? why is that? it just stays white…nothing happens!!! pleas help…iam so frustrated…i’ve been using this software for the past 3 days and some things like the pen tool still dont make sense….arg!! anyway…please help…email me at cyberfalcon@ymail.com
